We've tried reading Harry Potter twice before but Liam had a hard time keeping up with the story so he lost interest pretty early on. I decided to try it again and what a difference!!! I stop every couple of paragraphs so we can briefly review what's going on and that seems to help keep him focused. He was so interested this time we read for over an hour before bed and I had to cut him off at the end of the chapter. He was asking about what might happen to certain characters and wanted to keep reading until we knew for sure what was going to happen.
I think it's so cool when he stops me to ask what a word means. That tells me he's really paying attention. Tonight he asked about spectacles, sparkling, and odd.
I wonder if I can a section to my goodreads.com profile for his books. :)

He is my godson!! Reading is my favorite thing and Harry Potter is one of my favorites.
